Leather Shoes for Men With Arch Support
A closed leather shoe you can wear to work and still walk home in. Genuine leather upper, natural cork and latex footbed covered in leather, and a light EVA outsole — the same construction as our sandals, in a shoe that covers the whole foot.
Lace-ups
Our lace-up shoes are the everyday pair: a plain leather upper, laces so you can set the fit across the instep, and a footbed that does not go flat after a season. They work with trousers and with jeans, which is usually what people need from one pair rather than two.
Why the footbed matters more in a closed shoe
In a sandal your foot has air and room to move. In a closed shoe it is held in one position for hours, so what it is resting on decides how the day ends. Cork is firm enough to hold the arch and warm enough to mould to your foot in the first weeks. Leather over the top keeps it comfortable with or without socks.
Also worth a look
If your work is on your feet rather than at a desk, the clogs close the toe and leave the heel open. For colder months indoors, the wool house shoes use the same footbed under natural felt.
Sizing
European sizing, true to size. Between two sizes take the larger — the leather relaxes and a closed shoe needs room at the toe. With laces you have some adjustment across the instep, which helps a broader foot.
Frequently asked
Can I wear them without socks? Yes. The footbed is leather-covered, so it does not get slippery or hot the way a synthetic lining does.
Are they resoleable? The EVA outsole is bonded, not stitched, so these are not made to be resoled. They are made to be light and to wear well for several seasons.
Are they suitable for standing work? That is what the arch support and the abrasion-resistant outsole are for. Break them in over a week first.
Shipping? Free, two to three working days.
